The All-Akron Student Engineering Program is a 10-month STEM program provided by Akron Waterways Renewed! (AWR!), designed to provide a work-shadow opportunity to APS juniors and seniors who have an interest in STEM fields. This is accomplished by providing hands-on experiences to students attending The University of Akron and majoring in Engineering or Construction Management with firms that are working on the AWR! Program. The overall goal of the program is to hire graduates from the AWR! Student Engineering Program to work for Akron firms that support this program. This would include paid summer internships and co-ops in the Akron area.

Coach Zach Griffith, STEM High School Environmental Engineering pathway coach, has been instrumental in promoting this program to current juniors and seniors at STEM. Each year, he recruits several students to participate in the program with great success. For the 2021 school year, STEM had a total of 21 out of the 33 students selected for internships this year with two STEM students being ranked in the top five selected by participating firms.
